Cards
If you do not already have a card for a Marin library (All
Marin County Public, San Rafael, Sausalito, San Anselmo,
Larkspur, and Mill Valley cards are accepted at Belvedere-Tiburon
Library) then you can apply online by clicking the link
below.

Loan Periods
3 weeks: Books, paperbacks,
Audiobooks
1 week: DVDs, Music CDs, and books from the
"Bestsellers" (7-Day) book collection.
3
Days: "Hot Flicks" DVDs
Renewing:
Two 3-week renewals: Books (except 7-day bestsellers), Books on CD, Books on Cassette, Playaway Digital Books.
One 1-week renewal: DVDs (except 3-day Hot Flicks), Music CDs, Circulating Magazines, Blu-ray DVDs.
No renew: 7-day books, Hot Flicks DVDs, New Books on CD.

Books: 50 books total per card (other
limits may apply)

DVDs & VHS: 10 total per card
Fines
and Charges
Fines for late materials and other fees are paid at the
Circulation desk.
Per item fines:
Adult materials: $.25/day and $7 maximum
per title
Bestsellers Collection: $.50/day and $7
maximum per title
Children's materials: $.10/day and $2
maximum per title
Adult Videos: $1/day and $7 maximum per
title
Children's Videos: $1/day and $5 maximum
per title
DVDs: $1/day and $10 maximum per title
Magazines $.50/Day
Other charges:
Copy machine: $.10/page
Printing: $.10/page
Lost library cards: $1.00
Interlibrary loan, MARINet: $ .50
Interlibrary loan, Bay Area: $1.00
Interlibrary
loan, National: $2.00
Lost or damaged items: replacement cost
+ $6 processing fee
Returning
Materials
Borrowed items may be brought into the Library during open hours or returned in either of the library's book
returns (one in the parking lot at the back turn-around, the other in the front of the building). To prevent damage and a fine charge, please do
not force items into the slots or leave books, etc. outside
of the returns. Unless noted on the item, all Belvedere-Tiburon item may be returned at other MARINet libraries (e.g. Mill Valley, San Rafael, Novato, etc.).
It
is okay to return DVDs in the outside book drops (Some cases
still have stickers that say this is not permitted).
